Ramona gets Immunized !

Oh dear! What an experience this was!!
(Don’t have pictures, not such a Kodak moment)

I think it hurt me more. (Just kiddin’, it’s only that I will always remember it and she won’t)

I had to hold my little girl on my lap facing outwards, having just woken her from a nap to have a nurse poke three needles in her chunky cute legs. 2 needles on one side, 1 on the other.

It was brutal!
The cry was heart wrenching and I hadn’t heard one like this out of her sweet small mouth before.
I immediately went to big cry mode (when you can’t catch your breathe and the tears are just streaming).

But on the positive side of things, Ramona is now protected against some really serious virus/illness that could cause her a lot more pain.

She was a champ though. She cried for a little bit, but I nursed her right after for comfort. Her legs went red and swollen but were better within a day. Fortunately she didn’t run a fever (but if you do, it’s quite normal) and she slept for almost 2 days after. I wish I could say,’ don’t have to do that again,’ but as most of you know, that is not case. At least I don’t have to do it tomorrow.

She is recovered and doing well. What a little angel she is. She brings a lot of light to our little home.  Thanks Lil’ Rae and we thank God for giving us such a gift.

Til next time,
