2 month old - "I love your smile"
She is energetic and blossoming with personality. I can’t get over how much she has grown just in 4 weeks and in another 4 weeks my family in Canada will meet her, this I am so eager for.
As you can imagine, everything is getting bigger, but the most obvious is her spirit. She is just so excited in the mornings. She is a morning person like her Mom, but loves to sleep like her Dad. What a great combination.
God is good to us. Yup! We are counting are blessings.
In the morning while I am changing her diaper, she just smiles till she gets some form of verbal communication out, like a GA or GOOE. (Spell check!) Her eyes lit up when she sees Mommy and Daddy approaching her, but wait! Not too close, then she gets thrown off. Her eyes can only focus at her speed, not ours, we often forget. Her mouth opens so wide when she smiles that I can see all the way to the back of her throat and her little gums are the cutest things ever! So pink and pretty!
Her little noises are the sweetest sounds on earth. You can tell she is really trying to say something. Her eyes are full of laughter and fun, till its time to eat or she has a poopie diaper and it can become real cute at times, when she cries. Her lip will turn out followed by a, ‘ MMAAAAAAaA.’ I take that as, ‘MA! I NEED YOU! ‘Adorable.
She is sleeping through the night for the most part which is nice and early for a baby, yes we are fortunate! HOWEVER, this can all change come 3 months. These babies don’t come with an instruction manual but one thing we have learnt thus far is that they are ever changing, so we are not holding our breath.
Her hair is coming in slowly, still bright orange/strawberry blonde and eyes as dark as the deepest sea. Yup! She makes me want to write poetry.
I get excited in the morning to nurse her and sit with her as she wakes up ( which takes some time, just like Daddy!) And love to dress her in the warm cuddly clothes. She looks and feels like a Stay-Puff Marshmallow. She squishy!
I can’t tell you how much she weights but I am guessing around 10-11 pounds by now. She is filling out her 0-3 clothes nicely and warming up the 3-6 month clothes.
Watching her grow is really therapeutic for me. We all keep on growing, together.
I am really getting to know our precious babe and I really like her! She is changing my life and I love it.
One day I will be able to share this all with her, and I sure she will find me quite cheesy (yet again like her Father) but Ramona unlocks a part of me that invites me to just surrender to the moment; full of love and rich joy. What else could we need this holiday season?
Blessings,
Mama
