the HEAT

Its seriously insane here. Well the last three days have been. I would walk outside and it would literally feel like a sauna. I could barely breathe. And to prove it, I am posting an article that alarmed the Texans about the heat in May! Record heat grips North Texas 09:48 AM CDT on Monday, May 23, 2005 By REBECCA RODRIGUEZ / WFAA-TV It's Texas, and it's supposed to get hot - but this early? Spring 2005 was cooler than normal until summer-like weather hit North Texas with a vengeance this weekend. Temperatures reached 98 degrees on Sunday at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, breaking the record of 96 set in 1939; Though the average high for this time of year is 85, 90-degree temperatures in May are not unusual. However, Sunday marked the second day in a row that saw a record high set and the third consecutive day of above-average temperatures. So anyway, there you have it! We are living in the middle of a heat wave... Today is much nicer though, only like 30 or so, for those Canadians out there that are reading. And being pregnant above it all, well I dont want to complain. At least we have a little A/C unit in our house and A/C in our car and everywhere else in Texas, expect outside, so ideally, if you want to beat the heat, you just have to stay inside. Thank goodness we have the pool. I will take pictures for ya'll... Last week was nuts, I will write some more this week! Thanks for reading! I miss Canada, friends and family up there... xoxo mamamartin

Thank goodness for the pool, eh!
It's finally gotten warm here but not too hot yet, soon I hope. I'm looking forward to beach weather!
